Groundwork sends payment reminders by SMS on behalf of the small business you work with. You will only receive texts if you have opted in, in one of the two ways below.
Text START to (571) 554-5050
You'll receive: "Groundwork: You're now opted in to payment reminders from the business you work with. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
Businesses that use Groundwork show this consent statement on their web booking form, paper job/invoice form, or read it to you when you engage them by phone:
Consent is recorded by the business (checkbox timestamp, signed form, or call note) and kept with your customer record.
When a customer engages a business by phone, the business reads this script and records the answer with the customer record:
"As part of our service we can send you text message reminders about your invoices and payments from [Business Name], sent via Groundwork. You would receive no more than three reminders per invoice, over about 45 days, plus replies to anything you send. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. You can reply HELP for help or STOP at any time to opt out. Our terms are at groundworkdone.com/terms and our privacy policy at groundworkdone.com/privacy. Would you like to receive these text reminders — yes or no?"
Customer: "Yes."
"Thank you — youll get a text confirming that shortly. The customer then receives: Groundwork: Youre now opted in to payment reminders from the business you work with. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
Reminder texts that identify the business, reference your invoice, and let you reply. Typically no more than three reminders per invoice over 45 days, plus replies to anything you send.
Reply STOP to any message. You'll get one confirmation: "Groundwork: You've been unsubscribed and will receive no further reminder messages. Reply START to opt back in." Reply HELP for help, or email andy@groundworkdone.com.
Message & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
